So let me just say, I was NOT athletic growing up. I was the girl running the wrong direction on the field, who couldn’t do a single push up, and was picked last for sports. It wasn’t until several years and 2 kids later when I began to experience unexpected health issues that I realized I needed to do something. The post surgery, post baby body I saw in the mirror, wasn’t one I recognized.
Determined to take back control of my health and body, I began exercising at home while trying to juggle all the newness of motherhood. Those daily exercises soon became a much needed outlet for me and I started to see my body and energy level truly transform!
Eventually I decided to overcome my intimidation of joining a gym and started weight lifting. To say I fell in love is an understatement! It was like I tapped into a new identity I didn’t even know existed within me.
Seeing that my passion for health and fitness was only continuing to grow I decided to become a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I wanted to be in a position to help others through their own struggle and journey. To discover their own strengths, to see themselves change, and to have their visions become a reality. There’s no greater feeling than having a goal and seeing yourself conquer it! My training experience specializes in weight loss, muscle growth and development, as well as, postnatal core and pelvic floor strengthening.
